The winners of the third writing contest for Sunan Kalijaga International Journal of Islamic Civilization (SK.IJIC)

We are pleased to announce that the first winner of the third writing contest for Sunan Kalijaga International Journal of Islamic Civilization (SK.IJIC) in 2019 is Distinguished Professor Alan Hayes, AM of the Family Action Center (FAC), The University of Newcastle (UON), Newcastle, Australia.


Alan Hayes submitted his paper on Foundations of Peace and Harmony in Families and Communities: Insights from a TRUST, LEARN, and CARE (TLC) Framework”. For his outstanding work, he will receive a reward and trip to Indonesia to deliver a speech at the 68th UIN Sunan Kalijaga Anniversary Celebration, September 26th 2019.

The next winners are as follows:

Iftitah Jafar and Mudzhira Nur Amrullah (The second winner), UIN Alauddin Makassar. Proving peaceful Islam through the application of al-'illat wa al-ma'lȗl approach in reading Qur’anic verses of war”.

Hasan Albana, Abas Asyafah, and Munawar Rahmat (The third winner), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung. The Correlation Analysis of Islamic Education (PAI) Learning Outcomes with Religious Tolerance at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI)”.

Muhammad Itsbatul Haq (The fourth winner), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta. “Tasawwuf (Sufism) as The Basis for Internalizing Humanist Character Of Indonesian Muslims (Case Study of Pesantren in Yogyakarta and Madura)”.
