Historical studies took time during the Palembang Darussalam Sultanate to the Dutch East Indies. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The urban morphology of Palembang follows the flow of the Musi River from the mouth of the Ogan River to the mouth of the Komering River with a ribbon-like shape. Because it is very determined by the river, then when Islam develops in this area it forms a civilization according to its geographical conditions. During the Dutch East Indies, some of the legacies of this civilization were adapted to the political interests of development. Palembang's morphology turned into a "mainland city". Although not yet fully, there is an adaptation effort from the community for those changes. The morphology of the city changes, from the waterfront to waterback. The symbols of local Islam began to be replaced with colonialist symbols. In fact, the architecture of the mosque and the palace was not spared from colonialist elements.
<remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><language>id</language><urls><web-urls><url>http://jurnal.uinsu.ac.id/index.php/juspi/article/view/4079</url></web-urls><pdf-urls><url>C:\Users\hp\Zotero\storage\9P55X297\Farida et al. - 2019 - Peran Sungai Musi dalam Perkembangan Peradaban Isl.pdf</url></pdf-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 02:26:44</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Susilowati, Endang</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>PERANAN JARINGAN SUNGAI SEBAGAI JALUR PERDAGANGAN DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN PADA PAROH KEDUA ABAD XIX</title><secondary-title>Jurnal Sejarah CITRA LEKHA</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Jurnal Sejarah CITRA LEKHA</full-title></periodical><number>1</number><issue>1</issue><dates/>
Up to recent time rivers in South Kalimantan become one of the important transportation infrastructures due to their connecting function between the hinterland and foreland. This article aimed to depict the role of the riverine network to trading activity in South Kalimantan by second half of nineteenth century. Through the rivers, various agricultural and forestry products from the hinterland were transported to Banjarmasin port and furthermore shipped interisland by sea transport. On the same rivers the distribution of goods to meet the daily needs of the hinterland inhabitants took place. The important role of the rivers evoked the authorities of Banjarese kingdoms competed to control and occupy every single riverine network in their region. Many conflicts happened between the kings or their family and the Netherlands-Indies government was provoked to exploit this situation. It was then the colonial government that finally became the prominent river network authority.
<remote-database-name>Zotero</remote-database-name><language>id</language><urls><pdf-urls><url>C:\Users\hp\Zotero\storage\FW6USKTQ\Susilowati - PERANAN JARINGAN SUNGAI SEBAGAI JALUR PERDAGANGAN .pdf</url></pdf-urls></urls></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Burhanuddin, Jajat</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Islam dalam arus sejarah Indonesia</title></titles><dates><year>2017</year><pub-dates><date>2017</date></pub-dates></dates><pub-location>Rawamangun, Jakarta</pub-location><publisher>Kencana</publisher><isbn>978-602-422-065-5</isbn>
History of Islam and its influence on politics and culture in Indonesia
<remote-database-name>Open WorldCat</remote-database-name><language>ind</language></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Syafiera, Aisyah</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>PERDAGANGAN DI NUSANTARA ABAD KE-16</title></titles><volume>4</volume><number>3</number><issue>3</issue><dates><year>2016</year><pub-dates><date>2016</date></pub-dates></dates>
Nusantara laid in the routes of international trade between west and east district. There is a need to provide greater understanding of the uniqueness of the international system as different regions have different ontologies to comprehend its dynamics and structures. This paper contributes to the pre-colonial Southeast Asian literature by examining the interplay that had existed between pre-colonial Southeast Asian empires and the hierarchical East Asian international society, in particular during the 13th16th Century. The paper argues that Southeast Asian international relations in pre-colonial time were characterized by complex political structures with the influence of Mandala values. In that structural context, the Majapahit Empire, one of the biggest empires at that time had its own constitutional structures of an international society, albeit still sought close relations with China.
<remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><language>en</language><urls><web-urls><url>https://journal.binus.ac.id/index.php/jas/article/view/764</url></web-urls><pdf-urls><url>C:\Users\hp\Zotero\storage\AR5VZGIX\Manggala - 2013 - The Mandala Culture of Anarchy The Pre-Colonial S.pdf</url></pdf-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 03:28:34</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Balk, Louisa</author><author>Van Dijk, Frans</author><author>Kortlang, Diederick</author><author>Gaastra, Femme</author><author>Niemeijer, Hendrik</author><author>Koenders, Pieter</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>The Archives of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and the Local Institutions in Batavia (Jakarta)</title></titles><dates><year>2007</year><pub-dates><date>2007-09-24</date></pub-dates></dates><publisher>BRILL</publisher><isbn>978-90-474-2179-5 978-90-04-16365-2</isbn><remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><urls><web-urls><url>https://brill.com/view/title/14721</url></web-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 03:51:19</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Maulidya, Hanatul Ula</author></authors><tertiary-authors><author>Rokhimaturrizki, Oktavia</author></tertiary-authors></contributors><titles><title>Jejak masuknya Islam di Indonesia</title></titles><dates><year>2022</year><pub-dates><date>2022</date></pub-dates></dates><pub-location>Surabaya</pub-location><publisher>Media Edukasi Creative</publisher><language>Indonesia</language></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Arif, Faisal</author><author>Sanusi, Anwar</author><author>Rosidin, Didin Nurul</author><author>Padiatra, Aditia Muara</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Changes and Existence of Rivers in Cirebon City 1900-1942</title><secondary-title>Al-Tsaqafa : Jurnal Ilmiah Peradaban Islam</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Al-Tsaqafa : Jurnal Ilmiah Peradaban Islam</full-title><abbr-1>Al-Tsaqafa</abbr-1></periodical><pages>173-185</pages><volume>17</volume><number>2</number><issue>2</issue><dates><year>2020</year><pub-dates><date>2020-12-31</date></pub-dates></dates><isbn>2654-4598, 0216-5937</isbn><electronic-resource-num>10.15575/al-tsaqafa.v17i2.10136</electronic-resource-num>
In the Hindu-Buddhist period until the VOC, the role of the river was very important, because the river was the main highway that was easy and needed by the people of Cirebon as a means of transportation to connect the coastal area (Port) with the interior (hinterland). But during the Dutch East Indies, the existence of rivers in the city of Cirebon has been changed. As the underlying factors, the change in the existence of a river is: firstly, Along with the time and technology development also the increasing of goods and services needs that continue to the needs of exploitation of colony, as well as for make efficient the distribution of goods and services, which then continues to the Government of the Indies-Netherland make the change from river transportation modes to many modes of land transportation development like highways and trains, secondly, unhealthy river ecological conditions also influence, so many people are often affected by disease outbreaks due to unhealthy river conditions and when the rainy season comes, the river overflows and floods people's homes (flooding). These factors are the background of the Indies-Netherland government to make a change to the existence of rivers in the city of Cirebon, such as dredging the Old River "Kali Bacin", normalizing Sukalila River, normalizing Sipadu River and making drainage (culverts).
<remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><urls><web-urls><url>https://journal.uinsgd.ac.id/index.php/jat/article/view/10136</url></web-urls><pdf-urls><url>C:\Users\hp\Zotero\storage\TWSREBQ6\Arif et al. - 2020 - Changes and Existence of Rivers in Cirebon City 19.pdf</url></pdf-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 04:41:40</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Hajam, Hajam</author><author>Muzaki, Muzaki</author><author>Hamidah, Dedeh Nur</author><author>Syafaah, Aah</author><author>Padiatra, Aditia Muara</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>The Contribution of Al-Ghazali in Promoting Islamic Moderate Thought in Indonesia</title><secondary-title>Sunan Kalijaga: International Journal of Islamic Civilization</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Sunan Kalijaga: International Journal of Islamic Civilization</full-title><abbr-1>SKIJIC</abbr-1></periodical><pages>1</pages><volume>3</volume><number>2</number><issue>2</issue><dates><year>2020</year><pub-dates><date>2020-09-10</date></pub-dates></dates><isbn>2614-7262, 2614-5472</isbn><electronic-resource-num>10.14421/skijic.v3i2.1894</electronic-resource-num>
The current paper is dedicated to investigate a moderate religious doctrine through the presence of Islamic mysticism (sufism) resulted from Imam al-Ghazali. We argue that al-Ghazali's teaching imparted balance between the world and the hereafter like body and spirit. Al-Ghazali’s thought influenced many Indonesian mystics across fifteenth to nineteenth century. Abstract After reformation, some regions that were previously kingdoms claimed their status for province. First, Banten in the Province of West Java has succeeded in doing it and Cirebon is following to do the same. This is very interesting: claim for separation emerged from regions that were previously great, independent kingdoms. What is really happening? The author conducted history method to seek solution for this problem. The result shows that the elites of Cirebon court want to revive old glory of their kingdom when it experieced many great achievements in almost every areas of life. Those glorious time become model for them to build future Cirebon. This romanticism has been driven by political situation, especially reformation and regional autonomy.
<remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><urls><web-urls><url>http://ejurnalpatanjala.kemdikbud.go.id/patanjala/index.php/patanjala/article/view/130</url></web-urls><pdf-urls><url>C:\Users\hp\Zotero\storage\G52FMFXV\Erwantoro - 2012 - SEJARAH SINGKAT KERAJAAN CIREBON.pdf</url></pdf-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 05:52:30</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Schnurmann, Claudia</author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="italic">‘Wherever profit leads us, to every sea and shore . . .’:</style><style face="normal"> </style><style face="superscript">1</style><style face="normal"> </style><style face="italic">the VOC, the WIC, and Dutch methods of globalization in the seventeenth century</style></title><secondary-title>Renaissance Studies</secondary-title><short-title><style face="italic">‘Wherever profit leads us, to every sea and shore . . .’</style></short-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Renaissance Studies</full-title><abbr-1>Renaissance Studies</abbr-1></periodical><pages>474-493</pages><volume>17</volume><number>3</number><issue>3</issue><dates><year>2003</year><pub-dates><date>09/2003</date></pub-dates></dates><isbn>0269-1213, 1477-4658</isbn><electronic-resource-num>10.1111/1477-4658.t01-1-00032</electronic-resource-num><remote-database-name>DOI.org (Crossref)</remote-database-name><language>en</language><urls><web-urls><url>https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1477-4658.t01-1-00032</url></web-urls></urls><access-date>2023-10-14 05:59:47</access-date></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Samuel, Richard</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Entitas-entitas baru eks Mataram</title></titles><pages>87</pages><keywords><keyword>History</keyword><keyword>Mataram (Sultanate)</keyword></keywords><dates><year>2017</year><pub-dates><date>2017</date></pub-dates></dates><pub-location>Yogyakarta</pub-location><publisher>Calpulis</publisher><isbn>978-602-657-632-3</isbn><call-num>DS646.29.M3 S26 2017</call-num>
History of Mataram Sultanate
<remote-database-name>Library of Congress ISBN</remote-database-name></record><record><database name="MyLibrary">MyLibrary</database><source-app name="Zotero">Zotero</source-app><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Wardah, Eva Syarifah</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Konflik Sultan Haji terhadap Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa : Perbandingan Sumber Naskah dan Arsip</title></titles><dates><year>2012</year><pub-dates><date>2012</date></pub-dates></dates><pub-location>Serang</pub-location><publisher>Lembaga Penelitian Istitut Islam Negeri Banten</publisher><language>Indonesia</language></record></records></xml>
