Waste management policies are identified as ineffective with a reduction in waste transport below 8% until 2022. On 1 January 2023, the Yogyakarta City Government issued the Zero Inorganic Waste Policy as a strategic vision to reduce 15% of downstream waste by 2023. The research aims to evaluate the Zero Inorganic Waste Policy in reconstructing the waste management paradigm of Yogyakarta City. This research applies a case study method by adopting Formative Policy Evaluation. Before the Zero Inorganic Waste policy was issued, the community had a tendency of 'collect-transport-dispose' waste management behaviour. In the context of Evidence-Based Policy Making, this policy was formulated based on evidence of the escalation of waste problems in Yogyakarta City. In the dynamics of policy implementation, there has been a change in 'sort-reduce-reuse-recycle' behaviour in waste management. However, the challenges of misperceptions and community adaptation to the new policy simultaneously emerged. In the formative evaluation framework, the Zero Inorganic Waste policy was evaluated as effective. There was an average decrease in waste haulage of 24% or 56.42 tonnes/day in the first semester of 2023.
2024-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/dakwah/JPMI/article/view/2808Halal Certification Products and Supporting Tourism Development in Bandung Regency: Issues and Strategies2024-02-29T20:36:51+07:00Evi Sopiah Evi Sopiahevisopiah@uinsgd.ac.idNabiela Rizki Alifaevisopiah@uinsgd.ac.idShafinar Ismailshafinar@uitm.edu.my
This research is motivated by the low awareness and compliance of micro and small business actors with halal certification obligations. The research aims to identify the causes or problems of low awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations; and find strategies to increase awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations. This research uses a Community Based Research (CBR) approach, where this approach places MSE actors with researchers and stakeholders in an equal and balanced position. The results of the study found that: first, the factors that influence the low awareness and compliance of Pulosari Village MSE actors with halal certification obligations are low knowledge of halal literacy and low understanding of the requirements and processes of halal certification; and 2) legal counseling strategies and direct assistance to Pulosari Village MSE actors have an effect on increasing awareness and compliance with halal certification obligations. Thus, halal product guarantee law and halal tourism regulations have begun to occupy their role as law in the midst of halal tourism development efforts in Bandung Regency.
2024-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/dakwah/JPMI/article/view/2834From Waste to E-Money: The Role of Village-Owned Enterprise in Community Empowerment in Jember, Indonesia2024-03-26T21:52:45+07:00Selfi Budi Helpiastutiselfibudihelpiastuti@unej.ac.idJulvia Nurlaela Firmawatijulvia.nurlaelaf25@gmail.comSuyatno Ladiqiyatnoladiqi@unisza.edu.my
This innovative approach not only supports sustainable waste management but aligns with global trends of incentivizing waste management through financial rewards, as seen in countries integrating waste management with the digital economy. However, local farmers still cultivating tobacco and believed that tobacco is a "tanaman wali" that brings blessings to farmers, so ritual practices similar to ngalap berkah are carried out to gain good luck when harvesting tobacco. This research aims to dissect the cultural factors that influence the economic behavior of Temanggung tobacco farmers and their perceptions regarding welfare. This research method is ethnography with the help of a historical perspective. Data was obtained from field observations and in-depth interviews, welfare data archives at social services, BPS data archives, and scientific literature. Data analysis was carried out using a process of verification, reduction, interpretation and triangulation. The research results show that historical factors in the form of farmers' debt bondage with Chinese middlemen, which are mystified in tobacco myths, are the reason why farmers find it difficult to switch to other commodities. Belief in these myths also creates a perception of prosperity that is inverted from the reality of the tobacco economy, but fosters other sources of welfare that are subjective with three dimensions including harmony, social relations and the environment.

Keywords. tobacco farmers, subjective-well being, contradiction, ngalap berkah, Temanggung.
2024-12-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024
