Focus and Scope
Jurnal Sosiologi Reflektif (JSR) focuses on disseminating researches on social and religious issues within Muslim community, especially related to issue of strengthening civil society in its various aspects. Besides, JSR also receives an article based on a library research, which aims to develop integrated sociological theories with Islamic studies, such as a discourse on Prophetic Social Science, Transformative Islam, and other perspectives.

Peer Review Process
All submitted article will be independently reviewed by at least two appointed reviewers, using form of "double-blind review". This reviewing process usually takes 6-8 weeks from the date of submission. Results of this reviewing process will be categorized into three groups: (1) accepted with minor or without revision; (2) accepted with major revision; and (3) rejected. All articles with major revision will be sent back to authors to be revised within three weeks from the date when editor sent it back to the authors. In making final decision process, the third reviewer could be appointed, if necessary.
As clearly stated on the author guidelines, our reviewers will be focusing on the detailed following points:
1. Did your abstract consist of the purposes of the research article, present an overview of the experimental results and describe the significance of the results and their impact on the field of study in general?
2. Has your introduction already provided a brief overview of the literature relating to the research topic, been written descriptively to introduce the reader to the field of the problem under investigation in general, and questioned the research topic that will be answered by a study and how to do it?
3. Did the research method contain a direct description of the methods used in a study, the statement of the materials, the main procedures, the techniques, and the analysis techniques?
4. Has the author(s) presented the results to the reader clearly, discussed them with theory and literature already chosen, reflected the research results to give meaning to the reader or provided guidance for further research?
5. Did your conclusion contain a summary of the research findings, followed by the main points of the discussion and ended with a statement about how the research work contributes to the field of study and its limits as well.
6. Are the references cited in the text more than 30 references, using The American Sociological Association 6th Edition Style, and referring to management systems such as Mendeley, EndNote, and Zotero?
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Jurnal Sosiologi Reflektif (JSR) is a full peer-review journal which is aimed to publish and diseminate researches on social and religious topics, especially using sociological perspectives. JSR is provided in print version, with ISBN Number: 1978-0362 and online with e-ISBN Number: 2528-4177. JSR is published twice a year. JSR has commitment to apply high standard of ethics related peer-review process, authors, journal editors, and publishers.
Editor Responsibilities:
- JSR editors are responsible in deciding which article will be published based on Editorial Board's policies and regulations related the issues of authorship and plagiarism
- In peer-reviewi process and decision making to publish an article, editors do not distinguish between race, gender, religion, as well as political ideology of authors
- Editors and editorial boards will not share information related to submitted article without permission from the authors
Reviewer Responsibility:
Reviewers help editor in giving consideration of all submitted articles
- Reviewer is responsible to review submitted articles
- Review process should be done objectively and supported with clear argumentations
- Reviewer is responsible for ensuring quotations, references, and plagiarism aspect of reviewed articles
Author Responsibility:
- Author should present his or her article clearly, being honest, and concern with the issue of plagiarism
- Author should obey all publishing requirements related to originality, free from plagiarism, and have not yet published in other journals
- Author should responsible for any quotations used in his or her article by showing an adequate reference
- Author should not submit the same article to other journals and publications
Publisher Responsibility:
- JSR is responsible for publishing article through editing and reviewing processes in accordance with regulations of academic journal publication
- JSR is responsible to ensure academic freedom for editors and reviewers
- JSR is responsible for keeping personal information and protecting copyright of the article
