Memperkenalkan Studi Masa Depan (Future Studies) bagi PTKIN di Indonesia

Abstract


Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memperkenal studi masa depan pendidikan tingggi Islam di Indonesia. Studi ini telah dipelajari oleh peneliti pusat penelitian dan universitas di banyak negara.  Dalam penelitian ini penulis menjelaskan orientasi futurology atau studi masa depan. Tulisan ini menggambarkan landasan studi masa depan dan pentingnya subjek. Juga menjelaskan metode dalam futurologi yang telah dibahas oleh para sarjana. Pendidikan tinggi Islam di Indonesia perlu memperkenalkan kepada mahasiswa karena mereka yang akan memainkan peran penting di masa depan. Studi masa depan adalah subjek yang dapat dikaitkan dengan induk pengetahuan dalam studi Islam dan ilmu sosial. Penulis mengusulkan studi studi masa depan ini sebagai suatu keharusan bagi pendidikan tinggi Islam untuk menawarkan studi masa depan dalam kurikulum. Akhirnya, penulis berpendapat bahwa jika pendidikan tinggi Islam bermaksud untuk menjadi universitas kelas dunia, mereka juga harus memiliki pengetauan mendalam tentang sistem politik global di masa depan

[The is article aimis to examine future studies for Islamic higher education in Indonesia. This subject has been studies by research centers and universities in many countries. It describes the foundation of future studies by blibiographical survey and the significance of the subject. It also explains the methods in futurology that has been discussed by scholars. It is necessary for Islamic universities in Indonesia to introduce to subject for student as they will play important role in future. Future studies is subject can be linked to body of knowledge in Islamic studies and social sciences. The present author proposes that it is a must for Islamic universities to offer studies in the curriculum. Finally, the author argue that if Islamic universities intends to be a world class university, they should also has a deepen knowledge on global political system in the future.]
