Karya Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli, “Pedoman Hidup di Alam Minangkabau Menurut Garisan Adat dan Syara’ (Nasihat Siti Budiman)”, menawarkan integrasi yang memadukan prinsipprinsip adat Minangkabau dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana integrasi antara adat dan agama dalam karya tersebut dapat memberikan solusi bagi masyarakat Minangkabau dalam menghadapi tantangan modernisasi dan globalisasi. Melalui analisis karakter dan nasihat yang terdapat dalam buku ini, terlihat Syekh Sulaiman menggunakan pendekatan yang menggabungkan berbagai disiplin ilmu untuk membentuk panduan yang relevan dan komprehensif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai yang diajarkan dalam buku ini, seperti keseimbangan antara adat dan syara’, pendidikan karakter, pemberdayaan perempuan, etika sosial, dan kepemimpinan, tetap relevan dalam konteks kekinian. Pendekatan interdisipliner yang diterapkan menawarkan kerangka kerja yang bermanfaat untuk mempertahankan identitas budaya dan agama di tengah arus perubahan zaman, serta dapat diterapkan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat saat ini.
[ The work of Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli, “Pedoman Hidup di Alam Minangkabau Menurut Garisan Adat dan Syara’ (Nasihat Siti Budiman)”, offered an integration that combined the principles of Minangkabau customs with Islamic doctrines. This study aimed to analyze the integration of customs and religion in this work provided solutions for the Minangkabau community in facing the challenges of modernization and globalization. Through the analysis of characters and advice found in the book, it was evident that Syekh Sulaiman employed an approach that combined various disciplines to form a relevant and comprehensive guide. The analysis results showed that the values taught in this book, such as the balance between customs and religion, character education, women’s empowerment, social ethics, and leadership, remained relevant in the contemporary context. The interdisciplinary approach applied offered a useful framework for preserving cultural and religious identity amidst the currents of change and could be implemented in various aspects of community life.]
