[The struggle for public political space in Aceh is genuine. Women are in a marginal position politically, economically, and culturally due to the views of conservative ulama who dominate the public sphere with the support of local, national, and Wilayatul Hisbah political elites. The position of Acehnese women, who form the beginning had been active in the movement against colonialism, active in practical politics and economic activities, was systematically marginalized due to political policies such as Islamic law, which was understood normatively, in contrast to the spirit of defending all the interests of humanity. Women are in a marginalized position because the interpretation is the very formalistic and male perspective. This article aims to analyze various women's activities in producing knowledge as a means of resisting and seizing public political space backstage (hidden), not by overtly mobilizing masses, demonstrations, burning public facilities, committing murders, and destroying facilities.]
