<p class="p1"><strong><em>INKLUSI Journal of Disability Studies</em></strong> is an accredited academic journal focusing on the issues of disabilities, the rights of people with disabilities, inclusive education, and efforts to promote an all inclusive society.</p> <p class="p1">The focus and scope of the INKLUSI journal is disability issues from any discipline. We promote an interdisciplinary approach to working on disability rights and social inclusion for people with disabilities.</p> <p class="p1">It is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Center for Disablity Services (PLD) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. <p>This research addresses a significant gap in ethnographic studies by focusing on women with disabilities in Javanese culture. The objective is to apply an emancipatory, affective feminist ethnographic approach that challenges power dynamics between researchers and participants, addressing issues of social class, disabled and non-disabled identities, and educational differences. Using participant observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of aural, textual, and visual data, the study explores lived experiences of these women. Key findings indicate that societal pressures, domestic violence, and pity sustain stigmas against disabled communities, whereas empathetic dialogue is essential for genuine narratives. The study advocates for continuous self-reflection to recognize subtle societal biases and calls for research with emancipatory values, amplifying marginalized voices and promoting inclusive policies that address social, psychological, and medical dimensions of women with disabilities.</p> <p><em>Penelitian ini mengisi kesenjangan signifikan dalam studi etnografi dengan berfokus pada perempuan penyandang disabilitas dalam budaya Jawa. Tujuannya adalah untuk menerapkan pendekatan etnografi feminis yang emansipatoris dan afektif, yang menantang dinamika kekuasaan antara peneliti dan partisipan, serta mengatasi isu-isu kelas sosial, identitas disabilitas dan non-disabilitas, dan perbedaan pendidikan. Dengan menggunakan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis data aural, tekstual, dan visual, studi ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman hidup para perempuan tersebut. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa tekanan masyarakat, kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, dan rasa kasihan melanggengkan stigma terhadap komunitas penyandang disabilitas, sedangkan dialog empatik sangat penting untuk menghasilkan narasi yang tulus. Studi ini mendorong refleksi diri yang berkelanjutan untuk mengenali bias masyarakat yang halus dan menyerukan penelitian dengan nilai-nilai emansipatoris, memperkuat suara-suara yang terpinggirkan, serta mempromosikan kebijakan inklusif yang membahas dimensi sosial, psikologis, dan medis dari perempuan penyandang disabilitas.</em></p>Fina ItriyatiHartmantyo Pradigto Utomo

<p>This study examines the effectiveness of an integrated DST, DT, and PjBL model in GEDSI learning for students with disabilities. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–postest design was employed with nine students with disabilities from the Special Education Study Program at the University of PGRI Argopuro Jember, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using learning activeness observation sheets and conceptual understanding tests, and analyzed using the non-parametric Sign Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The findings show that the model is effective, as evidenced by significant improvements in both variables (p-value = 0.00195). The average learning activeness score increased from 1.70 to 3.18, while the average conceptual understanding score increased from 7.20 to 8.02. All participants obtained higher posttest scores than pretest scores, indicating a consistent positive change. These results suggest that the synergy of the three approaches creates a student-centered, empathetic, contextual, and accessible learning ecosystem.</p> <p><em>Penelitian ini menguji efektivitas model integratif DST, DT, dan PjBL dalam pembelajaran GEDSI bagi mahasiswa dengan disabilitas. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest–posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 9 mahasiswa dengan disabilitas dari Program Studi Pendidikan Luar Biasa Universitas PGRI Argopuro Jember yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi keaktifan dan tes pemahaman konseptual, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Sign Test non-parametrik dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model ini efektif, ditandai dengan peningkatan signifikan pada kedua variabel (p-value = 0,00195). Rata-rata skor keaktifan belajar meningkat dari 1,70 menjadi 3,18, sedangkan rata-rata pemahaman konseptual meningkat dari 7,20 menjadi 8,02. Seluruh responden memperoleh skor posttest yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pretest, menunjukkan perubahan positif yang konsisten. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sinergi ketiga pendekatan tersebut menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran yang berpusat pada mahasiswa, empatik, kontekstual, dan aksesibel.</em></p>Lailil Aflahkul YaumAsrorul Mais

<p>Children with intellectual disabilities have cognitive limitations, fine motor impairments and low conceptual understanding, which hinder their ability to perform self-care activities independently, including brushing their teeth. Limited fine motor skills can affect their ability to grip and control a toothbrush, making hand grip strength a relevant variable in efforts to enhance the independence of children with intellectual disabilities in brushing their teeth. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between toothbrushing behavior and hand grip strength in children with intellectual disabilities. This study employs an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample selection was conducted using purposive sampling, resulting in 38 respondents. Toothbrushing behavior has a significant relationship with hand grip strength in children with intellectual disabilities. Variables such as frequency, duration and brushing time (morning and night) consistently influence grip type, strength control, independence, grip duration, stability and grip precision. Repeated toothbrushing with a specific pattern can improve fine motor strength and support children's independence and quality of life.</p> <p><em>Anak disabilitas intelektual memiliki keterbatasan kognitif, ketidakmampuan motorik halus dan rendahnya pemahaman konseptual sehingga menghambat melaksanakan kegiatan kebersihan diri secara mandiri, termasuk menyikat gigi. Kemampuan motorik halus yang terbatas, dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan anak menggenggam dan mengontrol sikat gigi maka kekuatan genggaman tangan menjadi variabel yang relevan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemandirian anak disabilitas intelektual menyikat gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan perilaku menyikat gigi dengan kekuatan genggaman tangan pada anak disabilitas intelektual. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan observasional analitik dengan metode cross-sectional. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan didapatkan 38 responden. Perilaku menyikat gigi memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kekuatan genggaman tangan anak disabilitas intelektual. Variabel frekuensi, durasi dan waktu menyikat gigi (pagi dan malam) secara konsisten mempengaruhi jenis genggaman, kontrol kekuatan, kemampuan mandiri, durasi genggaman, stabilitas dan presisi genggaman. Pengulangan menyikat gigi dengan pola tertentu akan meningkatkan kekuatan motorik halus anak dan mendukung kemandirian dan kualitas hidup.</em></p>Muhammad Fiqih SabilillahHari KusnantoLisdrianto HanindriyoSri Kuswandari
