Kaunia: Integration and Interconnection Islam and Science Journal https://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/saintek/kaunia <p>Kaunia [P-ISSN <a href="https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/1829-5266">1829-5266</a> | E-ISSN <a href="https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/2962-2085">2962-2085</a>] is published twice a year (April and October) by Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The journal publishes original research papers and review articles covering all aspects of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, engineering, and their integration with Islamic sciences. Manuscripts are judged based on their contributions to original data and ideas or interpretation. All articles are peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers in the field of the submitted paper. This study aims to integrate remote sensing technology and the principles of Maqashid Syariah in monitoring and analyzing air quality, in order to present an approach that is not only technical but also ethical and spiritual in environmental management. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through a case study design, utilizing spatial data from Sentinel-5P satellite imagery to map the distribution of pollutants such as NO₂ and SO₂, while examining this data through the lens of the five main principles of Maqashid Syariah (hifz al-din, hifz al-nafs, hifz al-‘aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal). The findings indicate that the areas with the highest levels of pollution overlap with violations of the core objectives of Islamic law, particularly the protection of life and intellect. Data tumbuhan dikonfirmasi melalui identifikasi taksonomi dan dokumentasi. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan indeks Relative Frequency of Citation (RFC) dan Fidelity Level (FL) untuk menilai popularitas dan spesifisitas setiap tumbuhan dalam pengobatan hipertensi. Sebanyak 22 spesies dari 16 famili berhasil didokumentasikan. Phaleria macrocarpa menunjukkan nilai RFC tertinggi (1,00) dan FL (100 %), diikuti Pandanus conoideus (RFC 0,98; FL 98 %) serta Zingiber officinale Rosc. (RFC 0,95; FL 95 %).Temuan ini menunjukkan tingginya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap tumbuhan lokal sebagai terapi hipertensi, dan mendukung perlunya pelestarian pengetahuan tradisional.
