Abstract

The discourse on al-i'jaz al-'ilmi is a contemporary issue in the i'jaz al-Qur'an, especially if it is associated with the discourse on the integration of science and religion. This is in line with the view that the Qur'an contains al-i'jaz al-'ilmi, so that it provides motivation and guidance for the development of science. However, mistakes in integrating science and religion will give birth to "pseudoscience" which of course is not scientific. Even more than that, a person will be trapped in the "religionization" of science or the "science" of religion which assumes that religion and science can complement, and correct each other. Therefore, within the framework of the Philosophy of Science with library research, this article presents a study on the possibility of developing al-Qur'an-based science. Although all this time efforts have been made to root out scientific findings in the Qur'an, from the perspective of the Philosophy of Science, it is not necessarily a Qur'an-based science, it may even be that it is not science, but just a layman's choice that is indeed non-scientific. There is a pattern of developing science, although it is based on religion, but still has scientific value, consisting of three layers of philosophical bases, namely a theoretical framework, a scientific paradigm, and a theological basis. By carefully following this pattern, the development of science can not only avoid pseudoscience, but will also give birth to science with high scientific value within the framework of the Qur'an. Then the development project is carried out with institutional-collective-cultural work
