PENCEMARAN LAUT (KAJIAN ECOSOPHY DALAM PANDANGAN SEYYED HOSSEIN NASR DAN REFLEKSINYA TERHADAP STRATEGI PENANGGULANGAN PENCEMARAN LAUT DI INDONESIA)

Abstract

Marine pollution one of the issues that is very noticed by various governments of countries in the world, one of the common object from marine pollutants is plastic waste from human activities, including in Indonesia. Many things have been done by government and environmentalists to handle and cope marine pollution. This issues do not escape from discourse of ecological thinking muslim intellectual, one of them is Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The study aims to analyze marine pollution with Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s ecosophy approach and reflection on marine pollution management strategies in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative method with content analysis, all data are taken from opinions of expert, theories, and results of previous reseach on related issues. Then continued to the identification, classification, and ended by conclusion of reseach. Overall the results of the study indicate, i) marine pollution in Indonesia caused by anthropocentric human and ineffective waste management, ii) marine pollution management strategies in Indonesia have not been maximized, lack of integration marine debris management caused by human activities on land, and need for awareness from every elements to reduce marine pollution form daily activities, iii) the concept of the relationship between God, man, and nature in Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s ecosophy approach as a methodologi for dealing marine polluotion
