Journal History

Impulse: Journal of Research and Innovation in Physics Education is a journal that contains articles that explore a wide range of ideas, the results of previously unpublished research conducted by researchers in the field of physics education. The journal is published twice a year: June and December.

Impulse: Journal of Research and Innovation in Physics Education began publication in June 2021. The Impulse online website underwent maintenance from early January 2022 to late May 2022 to improve the content and appearance of the online journal.

Impulse Journal received Sinta 4 accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia starting from Volume 1 Number 1 of 2021 to Volume 5 Number 2 of 2025. Impulse Journal also collaborated with the Indonesian Association of Physics Education Study Program starting in 2025. As a result of its commitment to improving publication quality, Impulse Journal received Sinta 3 accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology starting from Volume 4 Number 2 of 2024 to Volume 9 Issue 1 of 2029.

Article Template Update

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the quality and consistency of published articles, the journal has updated its article template starting from Vol. 6, Issue 1, 2026. This revision aims to enhance formatting standards and ensure a more professional presentation of all manuscripts. Authors are required to use the updated template for all new submissions. Manuscripts that do not follow the revised format may be returned for adjustment prior to further review. This update reflects the journal’s continuous effort to maintain high academic and publication standards.
