RELIGIOUS MODERATION ON PTKIN'S GEN Z PERSPECTIVE
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper explores Gen Z's views on religious moderation. The basis for this study is that in recent years, religious moderation has become a topic of discussion that has generated conflicting opinions. Religious moderation itself is believed to be able to answer the challenges of the times, especially regarding tolerance for the younger generation, so that they are ready to continue the struggle without questioning apparent differences. The research methodology used is a qualitative social situation, where researchers conducted several stages starting from observation, interviews, and distributing Google Forms to analyze how students' understanding can be seen from interactions and behavior in everyday life. As a national PTKIN course, including at IAIN Pontianak, this research is important because IAIN Pontianak itself proclaims itself as an Islamic campus that pioneers Religious Moderation. The results found that, in general, students are quite moderate in viewing socio-religious changes, they do not easily give negative stigma when faced with cultural and religious gaps.

This paper explores how Gen Z views religious moderation. The basis for taking the study is because in recent years religious moderation has become one of the conversations that is able to give rise to cross-opinions. Religious moderation itself is believed to be able to answer the challenges of the times, especially about tolerance for the younger generation to be ready to continue the relay of struggle without taking issue with apparent differences. The research methodology used is qualitative social situations, where researchers carry out several stages ranging from observation, interviews and distributing google forms to analyze how students' understanding can be seen from interactions and behaviors in daily life. As a national course of PTKIN without exception at IAIN Pontianak, this research is important because IAIN Pontianak itself proclaims itself as a pioneering Islamic campus of Religious Moderation. The results of the study found that in general, students are quite moderate in seeing socio-religious changes, they are not easy to give negative stigma when facing cultural and religious gaps.
