Focus and Scope

Jurnal Fihris presents the up to date information on the research results of the library and information studies, library management, LIS education, inclusive library, collection management, library in islamic world, preservation of Information, media and information literacy, preserving indigenous knowledge, library and entrepreneurship, librarianship, library and information technology, documentation studies, research data management, digital libraries, big data, scholarly communication, infometric, knowledge management, archiving data, and archive.

Peer Review Process

• Reviewer receives a double-blind review manuscript from the section editor or secretariat. If not in accordance with his/her competence, reviewer has the right to reject the manuscript and recommend it to other reviewers who are more competent.

• A reviewer at least reviewed a manuscript and a manuscript was minimally reviewed by a reviewer. Reviewer assesses the manuscript from the writing quality and substance aspects, which includes the renewal, authenticity, usefulness, validity of citation and bibliography.

Publication Frequency

Fihris: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi is published twice a year, June and December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

Jurnal Fihris  is a scholarly journal which has been publishing scholarly papers since 2006. Jurnal Fihris is published twice a year (June and December) by the journal editors from the Library Study Program Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta cooperation with the Ikatan Sarjana Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Indonesia (ISIPII). Jurnal Fihris presents the up to date library and information studies, library management, LIS education, inclusive library, collection management, library in islamic world, preservation of Information, media and information literacy, preserving indigenous knowledge, library and entrepreneurship, librarianship, library and information technology, documentation studies, research data management, digital libraries, big data, scholarly communication, infometric, knowledge management, archiving data, and archive. For the author and reader who want to submit a manuscript to this journal, please register as an author and then log in to submit it.
