This community service program aims to assist drug rehabilitation clients in correctional facilities (Lapas) in coping with social stigma, which affects their psychological well-being, social relationships, and recovery process. The program was implemented through a structured group counseling intervention facilitated by internship students from the Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in collaboration with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). The implementation method followed systematic stages, including formation, transition, working, termination, and follow-up, with weekly sessions. Data were collected through participatory observation and client progress documentation using the SOAP method (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan). The results indicate that group counseling is effective in reducing the negative impact of social stigma, enhancing self-disclosure, strengthening emotional support among participants, and fostering more adaptive coping strategies. Furthermore, the program contributes to increased self-acceptance and accelerates clients’ social reintegration process. Therefore, group counseling can serve as an effective approach in community-based rehabilitation programs within correctional settings.
