Author Guidelines

Manuscript submitted for publication must conform to the following guidelines:

  1. The manuscript should discuss the specific of various social and humanity issues, specifically under the perspectives of Sociology, Communication Studies, and Psychology.
  2. The article submitted should be based on library or fieldwork research.
  3. The submitted manuscript is an original work that has not been published in any form.
  4. The manuscript also is not in the publication process in another journal/book or any kind of media.
  5. The manuscripts should present bibliographies that entail primary sources - books, manuscripts, interviews, or observation and updated secondary sources from books or peer-reviewed journals.
  6. The manuscripts should contain an argument/thesis/finding which contributes to a scholarly discussion in a field of study which should clearly be mentioned and systematically presented in the abstract, content, and conclusion.
  7. It is written in Indonesian or English following the standard of the scientific paper.
  8. The length of the manuscript is between 4.000 to 6.000 words written in accordance with Humanitaria’s template.
  9. The manuscript should be submitted through the website of Humanitaria or by sending it to the journal email: humanitaria.fishum@gmail.com.
  10. The manuscript should be in doc or RTF file format.
  11. Footnotes and references must be typed according to the American Psychological Assosiation 7th edition utilizing the Reference Manager Tool either Mendeley or Zotero.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
