Pengembangan Model Layanan Psikologis Terintegrasi bagi Mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN): Dinamika Pencarian Bantuan dan Respon Institusi
Main Article Content
Abstract
The increasing prevalence of mental health problems among university students highlights the importance of responsive psychological services. However, research on psychological services in State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) remains limited. This study aimed to explore students' psychological service needs and develop a conceptual model to guide service development in PTKIN. A qualitative multi-site descriptive design was employed. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving 31 participants from three PTKINs, comprising 25 students serving as peer counselors, psychology laboratory assistants, and student organization members, and six lecturers with experience in academic mentoring and psychological service development. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis. Four themes emerged: (1) characteristics of students' mental health problems, (2) professional help-seeking behavior, (3) institutional responses to psychological service needs, and (4) a conceptual model of psychological service needs. Effective services require accessible and sustainable institutional support, strengthened peer counseling, improved mental health literacy, clear referral pathways, and cross-unit collaboration. The resulting conceptual model provides a contextual framework for developing psychological services in PTKIN.
