Adabiyyāt: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra focuses on the studies of language, literature, translation (Arabic, English, and Bahasa Indonesia), and philology. The articles must be written in Arabic, English, or Bahasa Indonesia. Adabiyyāt: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra is published twice a year the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga since 2002.

Adabiyyāt: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra is an accredited journal with 2 rank, approved by the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia in Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, No. 040/P/2014.

Now, Adabiyyāt: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra is a reaccredited journal with 2 rank, approved by the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia in Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, No. 225/E/KPT/2022.

Adabiyyāt: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra has been indexed in Sinta (Science and Technology Index).
