Plagiarism Policy

Thaqafiyyat: Jurnal Bahasa, Peradaban, dan Informasi Islam upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplication of previously published work.

The editorial board is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published. Such decisions are based on the validity, originality, and relevance of the work to researchers and readers. Editors are guided by the journal’s policies and must comply with current legal requirements related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or reviewers in making these decisions.

All manuscripts submitted to Thaqafiyyat are screened for plagiarism using reliable similarity detection software before the peer-review process begins. The acceptable similarity index should not exceed 25%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.

Manuscripts must be the original work of the author(s) and contribute new insights or findings in their respective fields. If plagiarism is detected, either during the review process or after publication, the editorial board will take appropriate action, which may include:

  1. Immediate rejection of the manuscript;

  2. A request for revision to properly cite sources;

  3. Retraction of the published article; and/or

  4. Notification to the author’s affiliated institution.

Authors bear full responsibility for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and proper acknowledgment of all sources used. By submitting a manuscript to Thaqafiyyat, authors agree to adhere to this plagiarism and originality policy as well as the journal’s ethical guidelines.
