Publication Ethics
Jurnal Manajemen Dakwah is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, quality, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the publication process by adhering to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal, and are free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct. Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources, ensure that all listed authors have made substantial contributions to the work and approved the final manuscript, and disclose relevant funding sources and potential conflicts of interest. Editors are responsible for conducting the editorial process objectively, fairly, transparently, and without discrimination, maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, selecting qualified reviewers, managing conflicts of interest, and taking appropriate action when potential publication ethics violations are identified. Reviewers are required to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe, maintain confidentiality, refrain from using information obtained during the review process for personal or professional purposes, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. The journal conducts plagiarism and academic integrity checks before publication and may reject, correct, or retract an article if serious ethical violations are identified before or after publication. Research involving human participants, personal data, or other subjects requiring ethical oversight must comply with applicable research ethics requirements and obtain ethical approval where necessary. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in writing or research is permitted when used responsibly and transparently; however, AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of their manuscripts and should disclose any substantive use of AI. Allegations of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, inappropriate authorship, and undisclosed conflicts of interest, will be handled fairly, objectively, and confidentially in accordance with the seriousness of the violation and applicable publication ethics standards, with the aim of maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and public trust in Jurnal Manajemen Dakwah.
