Water is an essential requirement for plants, especially horticultural crops. During the dry season, plants must be watered regularly. Watering is usually carried out two to three times a day to prevent the plants from wilting and dying. In general, farmers still use conventional watering methods, such as manually watering with dippers or buckets, or using hoses connected to water pumps. These methods are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and often result in excessive and inefficient water usage. Several irrigation methods have been implemented in various areas; however, in this project, we aim to apply the concept of drip irrigation to horticultural farmland located in Langgini Village, Bangkinang Kota District, Kampar Regency. By implementing this concept, plant watering can become easier, save labor and time, and improve water-use efficiency. During hot weather, watering can be scheduled several times a day, while during the rainy season, watering frequency can be reduced. This approach helps conserve water and reduces the routine workload of farmers. The implementation of this activity is carried out collaboratively with the farmers who own the agricultural land. The process begins with the installation of irrigation pipelines, an electric water pump, and a water storage tank. After the equipment installation is completed, testing will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the irrigation process on the plants. It is expected that the installation of this irrigation system will support healthy plant growth and maximize agricultural productivity.
