[This research work aims to explore and analyze new interpretations of halal food and toyyib from the perspective of the Pre-Prosperous Family (KPS). Through this research, it is hoped that it can provide an overview of new concepts about halal and toyyib food as the development of science. The research location is in Kebumen Regency Central Java Indonesia, where Kebumen Regency is one of the regencies that are included in the poor category in the Central Java region, Indonesia. The formulation of the problem raised is how the level of understanding about halal food and toys is KPM PKH Ayah Subdistrict and how are the considerations made by KPM PKH Ayah Subdistrict in the process of fulfilling daily food needs. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained were obtained from the field by interview, observation and documentation methods and were analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of this study state that the new interpretation of the meaning of halal and toyyib is food other than the animals mentioned in the Koran such as dogs, pigs, fanged animals, live in two realms. Halal food is seen as commonplace for underprivileged families, because they are rarely faced with the main things that declare the prohibition of a food. Everything they eat is considered toyyib as long as it is obtained not from stealing, robbing, looting and other crimes. In another sense that halal and tayyib a food is not because of the halal label or not, but lies in the essence of the law, namely halal li dzati and halal li ghairihi.]
