Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Papers submitted for publication must conform to the following guidelines:

  • Papers should discuss the themes related to terms in commuity which are engagement, development, empowerment, and service based on Islamic values, written either in Indonesia or English;
  • Papers must be typed in 1.15 spaced on A4-paper size, margin: 2.54 cm (top, bottom, left, right), uses a font type EB Garamond and font size according to the template;
  • Papers’ length is about 4,000-8,000 words or five pages in minimum;
  • All submission must include an abstract written in English (150-200 words) and Indonesia (200-250 words);
  • Full name(s) of the author(s) must be stated, along with his/her/their institution and address (city of institution);
  • All submission should be in Microsoft Word document file format;
  • Bibliographical reference must be noted in bodynote and bibliography according to APA style.

Manuscript structure: Title, Author(s). Affiliation, Abstract, Keywords, A. Introduction, B. Method, C. Result and Discussion, D. Conclusion, Acknowledgment (if needed), and Bibliography.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  • Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
