Abstract
Abstrak. Permasalahan energi mempunyai kecenderungan untuk meningkat setiap tahunnya, terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Dusun Somodaran Desa Purwomartani merupakan dusun yang sebagian besar warganya merupakan peternak sapi. Tingginya ketersedian bahan baku biogas inilah yang mendasari pengabdian masyarakat pemanfaatan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas dilakukan. Dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini terdapat tiga tahap yakni: pra pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan dan pasca pelaksanaan. Dalam pra pelaksanaan akan dilakukan pemetaan masalah, penentuan kapasitas instalasi biogas, rekomendasi pendampingan/pelatihan yang diberikan dan koordinasi dengan pihak desa dan peternak. Pelaksanaan dilakukan Pelatihan dan penjelasan mengenai pembuatan instalasi biogas (pembuatan instalasi, cara pengisian, cara analisa kapasitas produksi biogas, analisa penurunan kapasitas biogas akibat penggunaan), pembuatan instalasi biogas. Ouput pengabdian ini yakni terciptanya instalasi biogas dan adanya pemanfaatan biogas sebagai energi alternatif tercapai.
