Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to CSFD. CSFD is independently reviewed by at least one reviewer in the form of "single-blind peer review". Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another, second reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Plagiarism

CSFD will not tolerate any kind of plagiarism. Authors should understand well the publication ethics regarding plagiarism. To make sure that your papers are plagiarism-free, we will do at least two following step:

  1. Rapid assesment by plagarism-cheking softwares 
  2. Comprehensive assement by editors.

 

Publication Frequency

This journal is published two times a year.

Publication Fee

Cyber Security dan Forensik Digital does not charge APCs, submission charges, or another fee. All processes of article publication are free of charge.

 Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors of CSFD are responsible to obey Author Guidelines of CSFD, CSFD Copyright and those 10 policies adopted from COPE which is described below.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers of CSFD should be responsible to comply with the above 10 policies from COPE which is described below. Factors that are considered in review process are relevance, soundness, significance, originality, readability and language.

Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors of CSFD should be responsible to adhere to 10 policies from COPE which is described below. Editors should set up their decisions completely on the papers’ importance, originality, clarity and relevance to publication’s focus and scope.

Publication ethics, which is adapted by Cyber Security and Forensic Digital (CSFD) is based on COPE's Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors

1. Allegations of Misconduct

Should there is any allegation of misconduct relating to CSFD's publication, CSFD will pay attention on this case and listen to its editorial board members advice.

2. Authorship and Contributorship

All submitted papers are based on single-blind peer-review process. This process usually involves a reviewer who are experts in the area of the particular paper. The possible decisions of the review process are acceptance, acceptance with revisions, resubmit for review, or rejection. The acceptance of a paper is constrained by legal requirements such as it does not contain any libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. All contributor authors should be added as authors for the paper. CSFD are not responsible for any complaints about authorship.

3. Complaints and Appeals

CSFD are responsible for the contents and overall quality of the publication. CSFD is also responsible for fair publications and do not have any conflicts of interest between editors and authors. Should there is any complaints or appeals relating to publication of paper, CSFD is responsible to give clear explanations and it is possible to show evidence.

4. Conflicts of Interest/ Competing Interests

As explained by COPE, "a conflict of interests or competing interests is a situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple interests, financial interest, or otherwise, one of which could possibly corrupt the motivation of the individual or organization. The presence of a COI is independent of the occurrence of impropriety." CSFD will not involve in or accept any COI or CI in all its publication. Should they occur, CSFD will retract the involved paper and put an embargo on suspects.

5. Data and Reproducibility

CSFD is encouraging authors to welcome readers of accessing their data shared on their paper. Authors should follow guidelines according to standard practice in their disciplines about data and reproducibility. However, CSFD is promoting data confendiality for certain cases.

6. Ethical Oversight

In publishing paper, CSFD welcomes all quality, scholarly paper from authors, which fulfil ethical conduct of research in authors discipline research.

7. Intellectual Property

CSFD does not take any money from authors on publishing their paper. It is also stated clearly on Author Fees section. Policy relating to copyright has been given on CSFD Copyright. CSFD checks papers using plagiarism checker that CSFD has access to use it. Should there is any further research of any CSFD's paper, this extended version should be clearly mentioned on the upcoming paper and the related CSFD's paper should be cited.

8. Journal Management

Dedicated scholar in their disciplines supports CSFD. CSFD encourages its editors to attend workshops or seminars relate to journal management.

9. Peer-Review Processes

CSFD adopts single-blind peer-review process for its prospective paper. Regarding to this issue, CSFD has provided its policies on Peer Review section.

10. Post-publication Discussions and Corrections

CSFD allows debate post publication by using CSFD website, letters to CSFD's editor, or external moderated site. All of these debates should follow government rules.

Journal History

Cyber Security dan Forensik Digital merupakan jurnal yang berusaha mengkaji dan mengembangkan keamanan siber dan forensik digital, diterbitkan sejak Mei 2018 oleh Pusat Studi Cyber Security UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. CyberSecurity menyediakan sebuah forum untuk menerbitkan artikel penelitian asli, artikel review dari kontributor, dan teknologi baru yang berkaitan dengan Kemanan siber. CyberSecurity dan Forensik Digital diterbitkan setahun dua kali yaitu bulan Mei dan November.

Redaksi menerima sumbangan naskah dari dosen, peneliti, mahasiswa, maupun praktisi. Semua naskah yang diajukan ke CSFD harus ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris dan Indonesia. Naskah yang telah diajukan ke redaksi tidak diperkenankan dikirim dan dipublikasikan ke tempat lain.
