Pengembangan model pembelajaran selalu dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang optimal. Salah satu model yang menjanjikan adalah model pembelajaran tematik yang sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan intelektual dan karakteristik anak usia sekolah dasar. Dengan pembelajaran ini akan diperoleh pembelajaran yang bermakna, memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa, dan mendapatkan materi yang lebih utuh. Pembelajaran ini berimplikasi pada siswa, guru, sekolah dan sarana-prasarana yang diperlukan.
