Al-Bidayah : jurnal pendidikan dasar Islam, published by Study Program of Education for Islamic Elementary School Teachers (Undergraduate), Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education (FITK), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta since 2009.

As of July 2024, the Al-Bidayah website has moved its server to UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, therefore the Al-Bidayah website address (https://jurnal.albidayah.id/) HAS CHANGED TO https://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/tarbiyah/albidayah.

Al-Bidayah emphasizes the study of primary education and islamic primary education in islamic countries in general and specifically in Indonesia by emphasizing the theories of islamic primary education and its practices in the islamic worlds that developed in attendance through publications of articles.

The Scope journal studies the theories with practices of primary education and islamic primary education in islamic country intends to express original research searches and current issues. This journal welcomes the contributions of scholars from related fields warmly that consider the following topics; e-learning, management of technology and innovation, child development, inclusive education, literation and numeration, islamic religious curriculum, educational innovation, islamic religious, education, and education for primary school teachers.

Since 2017, Al-Bidayah has been registered with CrossRef. All articles published by Al-Bidayah have a DOI number. Al-Bidayah is also indexed by SINTA, DOAJ, Garuda, Moraref, Google Scholar, and more indexing please go here. In 2019, Al-Bidayah was accredited by the Decree of the General Director of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 30/E/KPT/2019. This accreditation is effective from publication Vol 9. No 1. 2017 (SINTA 3). In 2020, Al-Bidayah was reaccredited by the Decree of the General Director of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 85/M/KPT/2020. This reaccreditation is only effective in publications starting in Vol. 11. No. 2. 2019 (SINTA 2).
