Implementasi Multiple Intelligences dalam Pendidikan Dasar

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan urgensi Multiple Intelligences dalam konteks pendidikan dan pembangunan bangsa. Penelitian ini merupakan theoritical research (penelitian teoritik) dilakukan melalui analisis artikel dari berbagai jurnal, buku, dan media cetak yang berkaitan dengan Multiple Intelligences untuk ditemukan hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan dikatakan unggul jika ia dapat mengubah anak didik yang biasa-biasa saja menjadi luar biasa. Pendidikan dasar diberikan untuk meningkatkan potensi anak didik di berbagai macam kecerdasan (Multiple Intelligences). Setidaknya terdapat 8 kecerdasan yang perlu dimiliki anak didik, yaitu kecerdasan logis-matematis, linguistik, musikal, spasial, kinestetis, interpersonal, intrapersonal, dan naturalis. Multiple Intelligences pada pendidikan dasar diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran yang berguna untuk mencukupi semua kebutuhan anak didik yang beragam. Pembelajaran tersebut adalah pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Sistem pembelajaan berdiferensiasi dapat dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu diidentifikasi kemampuan anak, dicari strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kemampuan anak, dan disediakan objek belajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak didik. Hal ini membuat anak didik yang berkarakter dan berkemampuan intelektual yang baik.
