Abstract

Agenda ethnic assimilation in Indonesia often take a lot of
attention, given the realities of multi-ethnic population.
Assimilation pri and nonpri or between ethnic Chinese and the
Natives have been made parties to create lasting social
integration. One of them through the Islamization of the ethnic
Chinese. Associated with it, PITI who organized ethnic-Chinese
Muslims, have a lot of work in the middle of complex
challenges. Various cases of ethnic violence in various cities, the
May case `98, discrimination administration services, as well as
the latent threat related to the socio-economic gap has proved
the magnitude of the challenge for assimilation movement.
Apparently, humans live in a world narrowed ethnicity and
grim. This article photographing PITI organizational dynamics
and participation in the assimilation movement, accompanied
by an analysis of the drivers and internal and external
constraints confronting. Laborious the ethnic assimilation
agenda in Indonesia, the handling is one of the main pillars in
strengthening national unity
