Jurnal Moderasi: The Journal of Ushuluddin, Islamic Thought, and Muslim Society is an academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality academic articles by young researchers (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students). This journal is published by Ushuluddin and the Faculty of Islamic Thought at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The editorial board accepts submissions in the field of Ushuluddin sciences, including Islamic Theology and Philosophy, Quranic Studies and Exegesis, Hadith Studies, Sociology of Religion, Anthropology of Religion, Comparative Religion, and Islamic Politics and Muslim Society.


Jurnal Moderasi: Journal of Ushuluddin, Islamic Thought, and Muslim Society, an academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality articles from young researchers (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students). This journal is published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. We invite submissions from the discipline of Ushuluddin, which includes Islamic Philosophy, Qur'anic Studies and Tafsir, Hadith Studies, Sociology of Religion, Anthropology of Religion, Religious Studies, and Islamic Politics and Muslim Society.

Aims and Scope

Living Islam: The Journal of Islamic Discourses is an interdisciplinary academic journal that explores the philosophical dimensions of Islam as a transformative force addressing contemporary challenges and lived realities. The journal provides a platform for critical and constructive engagement with Islamic philosophy, bridging theory and practice to contribute to global discussions on ethics, social justice, and human flourishing.


The journal focuses on:



  1. Philosophical reflections on ethical, spiritual, and social dimensions of Islamic living, addressing critical issues such as digital ethics, environmental sustainability, and pluralism.

  2. Reinterpretations of classical Islamic thought in response to global challenges, fostering conceptual innovation within Islamic philosophy.

  3. Interdisciplinary approaches connecting Islamic philosophy with fields such as education, technology, psychology, and public policy to generate actionable insights.

  4. Empirical and theoretical studies analyzing how Islamic philosophical principles shape individual and collective identities in diverse cultural and geographical contexts.


Living Islam aspires to redefine the role of Islamic philosophy as a global intellectual force, offering fresh perspectives on lived Islamic experiences and bridging philosophical inquiry with real-world applications.



The Contemporary Quran is a twice-a-year, trilingual, peer-reviewed journal that aims to encourage and promote contemporary Quranic studies from a wide range of scholarly perspectives, reflecting the diversity of approaches characteristic of this field of scholarship. The Contemporary Quran publishes articles both in Bahasa, English and Arabic, to encourage the bridging of the gap between the two traditions of Muslim and Western scholarship. The Contemporary Quran is principally dedicated to the publication of original papers, with a research section including of new concept and works on the Quran in the various languages of the Muslim world, as well as the output of the western academic presses.

This international academic journal, with both print (ISSN 1411-6855) and online (ISSN 2548-4737) editions, serves as a platform for scholarly discussions in Qur'an and Hadith studies, following a rigorous peer-review process. It focuses on textual and contextual approaches, welcoming high-quality manuscripts in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic. The journal encourages diverse contributions from various academic traditions and viewpoints, both classical and contemporary. The journal aims to facilitate global idea exchange, including scholars from the East and West, promoting interdisciplinary research.

Refleksi: Jurnal Filsafat dan Keislaman is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on scholarly research in philosophy and Islamic intellectual traditions. The journal welcomes contributions based on both textual analysis and empirical fieldwork, encompassing diverse perspectives in philosophy, Islamic philosophy, theology, and mysticism (Sufism).


Refleksi particularly invites manuscripts that explore Islamic philosophy and Sufism, including their intersections with various disciplines such as political science, religious studies, economics, cultural studies, education, and contemporary socio-political issues. Interdisciplinary approaches that offer critical insights into classical and modern Islamic thought are especially encouraged.


Published biannually in January and July, with articles released in each of these editions, Refleksi has been in continuous publication since July 2001. The journal is managed by the Department of Theology and Islamic Philosophy, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.


Since 2021, Refleksi has established a formal collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asosiasi Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam (Association of Islamic Theology and Philosophy) under reference numbers 035/AAFI/JUR/X/2021 and UIN.02/DU/PP.00.9/35/2021.

Jurnal Sosiologi Agama is a scientific journal published by the Department of Sociology of Religion, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. The first print edition of this journal was published in 2007, and the online edition has been available since 2016.


Jurnal Sosiologi Agama is a nationally accredited journal by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and the National Research and Innovation Agency with Accreditation Number: 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, established as of March 2025, and is classified as Rank 3.


Jurnal Sosiologi Agama is published biannually in June and December. The journal invites researchers, scientists, and scholars in the field of sociology of religion to submit research results in the areas of sociology of religion, social change, social religious issues, and other current issues related to the journal's focus and scope. The writing guidelines can be found on a separate page. The editorial board reserves the right to correct sentence structures without altering the content of the submitted articles.


Since 2016, the Jurnal Sosiologi Agama has been a member of CrossRef; therefore, all articles published in the Jurnal Sosiologi Agama will have a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

The Jurnal Living Hadis is an academic journal focusing on Hadith studies, published twice a year (January-June and July-December) by the Hadith Department, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The Jurnal Living Hadis was launched in 2016 by the Hadith Department, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, at the same time as a new approach to hadith studies emerged, which highlighted the inseparable relationship between hadith and the traditions of society. In 2021, this journal was Sinta 3 accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, No. 36/E/KPT/2019.

RELIGI: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama is an academic journal on the religious studies, published twice a year (January-June and July-December) by the Religious Studies Department, Faculty of Ushuluddin an Islamic Thought, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogykarta in collaboration with Asosiasi Studi Agama Indonesia (ASAI).


RELIGI: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama was launched in 2002 by the Religious Studies, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, State Islamic University (UIN) of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This journal was accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, March 21 2025.


Religi: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama is an open access peer reviewed research journal published by Department of Religious Studies, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Religi: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama is providing a platform for the researchers, academics, professional, practitioners and students to impart and share knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, and literature reviews.


Religi: Jurnal Studi Agama-agama welcomes and acknowledges theoretical and empirical research papers and literature reviews from researchers, academics, professional, practitioners and students from all over the world.This publication concern includes studies of world religions such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and other religions. Interdisciplinary studies may include the studies of religion in the fields of anthropology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, and other cultural studies. 


 

ESENSIA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Ushuluddin is a semiannual international journal devoting special attention to questions of Islamic theology (uṣūl ad-dīn). This topic illuminates the immense significance of Islam in the context of religious life, to which it has delivered unique perspectives, approaches, and a range of contributions of abiding interest.


The journal was first published in June 2000 and follows a biannual publication schedule, releasing issues in July and December each year. Launched on the digital platform in 2011, ESENSIA provides scholarly but accessible peer-reviewed research articles, aimed at national and international academic readership, with both respect to scientific approaches to the field and discoveries of new materials.


The journal considers possible articles written in Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Arabic based on their originality, research novelty, multidisciplinary interest, accessibility, timeliness, elegance, and surprising conclusions.
