Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Tulisan belum pernah dipublikasikan atan dikirimkan ke jurnal lain sebelumnya.

    The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • Artikel ditulis dalam format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, atau WordPerfect.

    The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

  • Tampilkan URL referensi jika ada.

    Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • Teks ditulis dengan spasi 1, menggunakan font berukuran 12 point, menggunakan italics untuk kata serapan bahasa Asing; semua ilustrasi, gambar, dan tabel ditempatkan di dalam body tulisan.

    The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • Artikel ditulis dengan mengikuti Author Guidelines yang bisa dilihat di menu 'About the Journal'

    The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • Pastikan telah mengikuti prosedur Blind Review

    the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Articles sent to the editor of Jurnal Moderasi: The Journal of Ushuluddin, Islamic Thought, and Muslim Societies must follow the technical provisions as:

  1. Articles are written in Indonesian, English or Arabic standards which are the result of research or conceptual writing in various scopes of Qur'an and Tafsir Studies, Hadith Studies, Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism, Sociology of Religion, and Religious Studies.
  2. The article is the work authentic and has not been published in any other journal (scientific periodical).
  3. Articles must be submitted no later than two months before the journal is published.
  4. Include abstracts in Indonesian and English with a total of 150-200 words; in each abstract comes with keywords (keywords) no more than 5 words.
  5. The name of the author of the article does not need to include an academic degree, position, or rank and is accompanied by a correspondence address, email address and or telephone number.
  6. Using the Arabic-Indonesian transliteration guidelines, the guidelines are accessed in the template.
  7. Reference in the article uses footnotes with due regard to the specificity of the references referenced, such as books, translation books, volume / volume books, anthology books, articles in anthologies, articles in journals, articles in encyclopedias, articles on websites (internet), articles in mass media (magazines or newspapers), bachelor or master theses, dissertations, or scriptures that are adjusted to the instructions in the template. 
  8. The reference Use of a tool such as Mendeley and Zotero for reference management with Chicago Manual of Style (full note) or Al-Jami'ah - Journal of Islamic Studies.
  9. Download and follow the instruction in the journal template.
