Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • To expedite and streamline the editorial process, the author is kindly requested to provide a reachable WhatsApp number in the 'comment to editor' section.

Author Guidelines

      Articles sent to the editor of Refleksi: Jurnal Filsafat dan Pemikiran Islam must follow the technical provisions as:

  1. Articles are written in Indonesian, English and Arabic standards which are the result of research or conceptual writing in various scopes of Islamic Philosophy, Kalam (Islamic Theology), and Tasawwuf (Sufism). 
  2. The article is the work authentic and has not been published in the journal (scientific periodical) else.
  3. Articles written in the font Garamond spaced 1.5 cm on A4 paper with a total of 4,000-7,000 words or 20-25 pages. Articles must be submitted no later than two months before the journal is published.
  4. Include abstracts in Indonesian and English with a total of 150-200 words; in each abstract comes with keywords (keywords) no more than 5 words.
  5. The name of the author of the article does not need to include an academic degree, position, or rank and is accompanied by a correspondence address, email address and or telephone number.
  6. Writing articles in the Refleksi: Jurnal Filsafat dan Pemikiran Islam using the Arabic-Indonesian transliteration guidelines, the guidelines are accessed in the template.
  7. Reference in the article uses footnotes with due regard to the specificity of the references referenced, such as books, translation books, volume / volume books, anthology books, articles in anthologies, articles in journals, articles in encyclopedias, articles on websites (internet), articles in mass media (magazines or newspapers), theses, theses, dissertations, or scriptures that are adjusted to the instructions in the template
