Rekonstruksi Abu Bakar As Siddiq Dalam Media Kompas 2020-2025: Studi Historiografi Islam

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji rekonstruksi figur Abu Bakar as-Siddiq dalam pemberitaan Kompas periode 2020–2025 sebagai bentuk perkembangan historiografi Islam kontemporer di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis Norman Fairclough dan perspektif historiografi Islam, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana Kompas merepresentasikan Abu Bakar serta merekonstruksi narasi sejarah dalam konteks masyarakat modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompas cenderung merepresentasikan Abu Bakar sebagai simbol kepemimpinan etis, teladan moral dan spiritual, figur rasional dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta penjaga persatuan umat. Representasi tersebut menunjukkan adanya pergeseran dari historiografi politik klasik menuju narasi sejarah yang lebih kontekstual dan berorientasi pada nilai-nilai sosial. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa media digital tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana penyebaran pengetahuan sejarah, tetapi turut berperan sebagai agen pembentuk memori kolektif dan kesadaran sejarah Islam masyarakat kontemporer. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penggabungan kajian historiografi Islam dan media digital dalam melihat bagaimana media massa merekonstruksi tokoh sejarah Islam sesuai dengan kebutuhan sosial masa kini. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkaya kajian mengenai hubungan antara historiografi Islam, wacana media, dan budaya publik digital di Indonesia.

Abstract: This study examines the reconstruction of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq's figure in Kompas news coverage from 2020 to 2025 as a manifestation of contemporary Islamic historiography in Indonesia. Employing Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and the perspective of Islamic historiography, this research analyzes how Kompas represents Abu Bakr and reconstructs historical narratives within the context of modern society. The findings reveal that Kompas predominantly portrays Abu Bakr as a symbol of ethical leadership, moral and spiritual role model, rational decision-maker, and guardian of social unity. These representations indicate a shift from classical political historiography toward a more contextual and value-oriented narrative. The study further demonstrates that digital media functions not only as a channel for disseminating historical knowledge but also as an active agent in shaping collective memory and contemporary Islamic historical consciousness. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of Islamic historiography and digital media studies, showing how mass media reconstructs historical Islamic figures to align with contemporary social values. This study contributes to a broader understanding of the relationship between Islamic historiography, media discourse, and digital public culture in Indonesia.
