Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The journal applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of each manuscript. Only manuscripts that comply with the Profetik: Jurnal Komunikasi author guidelines and meet the journal’s scope are forwarded for review.
All submitted manuscripts undergo the following stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial board evaluates the manuscript for scope relevance, academic quality, and adherence to ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the author without external review. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are reviewed by two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the topic. Reviewer identities are concealed from authors, and author identities are concealed from reviewers. Reviewer profiles can be accessed at:

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
- Novelty and contribution to the field
- Conceptual clarity and objectivity
- Research methodology and analytical rigor
- Scientific impact and relevance
- Quality of discussion and conclusions
- Accuracy and appropriateness of references
- Review Decision
Based on reviewer reports, the editorial board will issue one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Resubmit for Review
- Reject
Revision Process
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments and editorial instructions. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers to ensure the required improvements have been made.
- Timeframe
The average time from submission to final decision is approximately 8–12 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the completeness of author revisions. - Final Acceptance
Publication approval is determined by the Editor-in-Chief after evaluating the quality of revisions and compliance with journal standards.
