Authorship Criteria

Authorship in Jurnal Kajian Islam Interdisipliner (JKII) recognizes substantial scholarly contributions and carries responsibility for the integrity of the published work. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the conception, design, conduct, analysis, or interpretation of the research, or to drafting or critically revising the manuscript for important intellectual content.

All authors must approve both the version submitted to the journal and the final version accepted for publication. Each author must take responsibility for their contributions and cooperate in resolving any questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, attribution, or ethical conduct of the research and its publication.

Contributors whose involvement is limited to technical, administrative, financial, or other supporting activities, and who do not meet the authorship criteria, should be recognized in the acknowledgments. All authors share responsibility for ensuring that authorship is assigned fairly and transparently, in accordance with accepted principles of publication ethics.

Author Contribution Statement

To promote transparent and consistent recognition of individual contributions, JKII requires an Author Contribution Statement based on the CRediT Contributor Roles Taxonomy (ANSI/NISO Z39.104-2022). The statement must identify each author and specify the roles that accurately describe their contributions. An author may hold multiple roles, and the same role may be shared by several authors.

CRediT provides a framework for describing contributions; it does not independently establish eligibility for authorship. All individuals listed as authors must meet JKII’s authorship criteria, regardless of the CRediT roles assigned to them.

The 14 standardized CRediT contributor roles are presented below.
