Tinjauan Yuridis Terhadap Pengelolaan Sampah di Pondok Pesantren Al-Luqmaniyyah

Garbage is a problem that is currently being a bywordin various local and long-distance media. Indonesia is even
referred as the second largest contributor of plastic waste in the
world after China. Yogyakarta is a city with a variety of
interesting tourist destinations as well as known as student
cities. Many migrants come and stay temporarily in
Yogyakarta. This has implications for the number of
mushrooming Islamic boarding schools. The number of Islamic
boarding schools is of course directly proportional to the
amount of waste generated. The relationship with waste,
actually there has been a Yogyakarta City Regulation Number
10 of 2012 which regulates Waste Management. However, the
problem is that the majority of pesantren residents are
migrants who are likely not aware of this regulation. This
problem which is discussed in this paper.
