About the Journal

SUPREMASI HUKUM: Jurnal Kajian Ilmu Hukum (e-ISSN: 2723-4207; p-ISSN: 2302-1128) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Department of Legal Science, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Indonesian Legal Scholars Association under State Islamic Higher Education (APPSIH-PTKIN).

Supremasi Hukum is a journal that aims to facilitate scientific and professional discussions on the latest developments of legal issues and to publish innovative legal research that specifically focuses on the legal system, justice, and humanity in the Indonesian and/or global context. Initially, articles were published in Indonesian. With the passage of time, the evolution of journal management, and the growing importance of developing legal knowledge as well as fostering a forum with various scholarly backgrounds in Indonesia and around the world, we decided to publish in English. We endeavor to expand the boundaries to access English-speaking contributors and readers around the world. Therefore, the Journal of Legal Supremacy welcomes contributions from legal scholars and professionals internationally as well as from representatives of courts, executive authorities, and other institutions concerned with issues of the legal system, justice, and humanity.

In brief, the Journal of Supremasi Hukum basically focuses on recent topics regarding the legal system, justice, and humanity in the Indonesian and/or global context. The scope of this journal covers contemporary legal issues from the perspective of the legal system, justice, and humanity using both empirical and normative approaches.
