Author Guidelines

Details and Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

Pay attention to the guidelines below when you are about to write. Manuscripts that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the author for correction, which can cause significant delays in the publication of your work.

Number of Words Required

Please ensure that your script follows the word-count requirements:

  • 3.000–6.000 kata (Journal Articles)

All texts must:

  • Dikirim dalam format Microsoft Word.
  • Ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris (untuk penulis Indonesia wajib menggunakan bahasa Indonesia saat mengirim).
  • Ditulis dengan sudut pandang orang ketiga yang objektif (menggunakan istilah “writer” atau “researcher” BUKAN “saya” atau “kami”).

Submission Requirements

  1. Originality of the manuscript. Only truly original manuscripts will be accepted. The manuscript must never have been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. Revised Manuscript. Journal of Excellent Academic Community will not publish manuscripts that are revised versions of texts published elsewhere. To be considered authentic, at least 80 % of the content must be new, with no more than 200 consecutive words quoted verbatim from any prior work.
  3. Copyright. The PDF copyright agreement is no longer accepted. As part of submission, you will digitally sign the Author Guarantee and Transfer of Copyright Agreement.
  4. Plagiarism. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism. Ensure all external sources are correctly quoted and paraphrased. Any detected plagiarism will result in return for correction or removal from publication.
  5. Title. The title must be concise (≤15 words), specific, and in title case (capitalize first letters except prepositions, conjunctions, articles—unless first in the title).
  6. Headings. Format headings according to the template. Do not number headings or subheadings in the text.
  7. Images. Maximum 20 images. Submit each as separate .tif files, meeting resolution requirements. Authors must secure permissions for any third-party copyrighted materials.
  8. APA Style. Use APA citation style throughout. A minimum of 20 references is required. Incorrectly formatted references will be returned for correction.
  9. Self-citation. Self-citations are allowed but must not exceed 50 % of total references.
  10. LaTeX. LaTeX files are not accepted. Use MathType for all equations.
  11. Equations. Type equations directly in Word or use MathType. Download trial: MathType.
  12. Copy editing and proofreading. Ensure correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation before submission. Manuscripts are considered final.

Note: Manuscript organization and formatting templates standardize submissions and do not reflect final print layout. The publisher reserves final design decisions.

Important: All manuscripts MUST be submitted via the online delivery system (OJS). Submissions outside OJS will not be considered for publication.
