About the Journal
JURNAL EXACT: KAJIAN KEMAHASISWAAN is a scholarly journal that facilitates the publication of student research and studies, as well as relevant contributions from other academics, with a focus on diverse dimensions of student life in higher education. Published by UKM EXACT (Excellent Academic Community) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, the journal serves as an academic platform that promotes critical thinking, research integrity, and evidence-based innovation to examine the dynamics, challenges, and potentials of students within campus and broader societal contexts. EXACT Journal is published biannually (June and November) and welcomes manuscripts that meet academic writing standards and demonstrate methodological rigor, including work grounded in exact sciences and multidisciplinary approaches.
The journal’s scope covers strategic and contemporary issues related to university students, including socio-cultural studies (identity, social relations, campus culture, student organizations, and activism), physical and mental health, and religious life and spirituality (religious moderation, tolerance, and campus-based religious engagement). EXACT Journal also accepts studies on education and academic literacy (learning strategies, digital literacy, and scholarly writing skills), innovation and technology (digitalization of student activities and student entrepreneurship), environmental engagement (waste management and renewable energy campaigns), and student social welfare (access to campus services, social support, economic inequality, educational barriers, and student involvement in community service).
With this orientation, EXACT Journal aims to serve as a forum for scholarly exchange that connects authors, researchers, and readers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, strengthens student-focused scholarship, and supports the development of impactful knowledge.
