As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Polynom : Journal in Mathematics Education a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement clarifies ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewed and the publisher (Pusat Studi Pengembangan Pembelajaran Matematika, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta). This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
The manuscript submitted for publication in thePolynom : Journal in Mathematics Education should be based on the findings of recent studies concerning mathematics education and pure mathematics. Manuscripts should be written in Indonesia or English. Language and format would become a criterion for the approval of a manuscript.
In general, the length of the article is between 6 pages to 12 pages, including the title, abstract and references. The article is typed in Microsoft Word with a single line space, Times New Roman font style, font size 10, in one column in .doc, .docx, or .rtf file (not of the pdf format). Page numbers are not needed. The article consists of five key sections: introduction, method, results and discussion, conclusion, and references.
Author should fulfill the form as detailed as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “Make a Submission”. In the Make a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”.
The following are five steps in online submission process:
Starting the Submission: Check-mark all submission requirements, write comments for the Editor optionally, and submit in any of the following roles if you would like to be able to edit and publish this submission yourself. Thus, the author must check-mark on privacy statement.
Uploading the Submission: Select the article component, i.e. Article Text, Research Instrument, Research Materials, Research Results, Transcript, Data Analysis, Data Set, Source Texts, or Other. Then upload a manuscript to this journal by click Browse and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button or Drag the file on the Upload Submission. You can upload added file here to. Please make sure that the manuscript file has been uploaded.
Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detailed authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Polynom : Journal in Mathematics Education, click Finish Submission button after the document is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.
Next Step
After this submission, Author who submits the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Author is able to track his submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes status of manuscript review and editorial process.
