Journal Summary

Az-zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam is a leading journal of Sharia Economic Law Department, Sharia and Law Faculty, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta which was formed on December 1, 2010. Az Zarqa Jurnal is Published biannually in June and December. Az-Zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam is a scholarly journal focusing on the study of Islamic business law, covering topics such as infaq, sadaqah, zakat, waqf, Islamic banking, Islamic finance, capital markets, investments, contracts, digital business-economics, and muamalah. The journal aims to explore, enrich, and develop Islamic legal theories, particularly those related to business practices in modern contexts. Through an interconnection-integration approach, the journal strives to make a significant contribution to the advancement of thought in Islamic business law.

Az-Zarqa' presents a range of recent studies, including normative-legal, conceptual, and empirical research, emphasizing the relevance of Islamic law in addressing contemporary challenges. Articles published in this journal undergo a rigorous selection process, including a double-blind peer-review and thorough editing. The editorial team of Az-Zarqa' welcome contributions from academics, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Islamic law to write and disseminate research findings on issues related to Islamic business law to the application of Maqasid al-Sharia principles in fostering sustainable economic development. Az-Zarqa' serves not only as a platform for the development of Islamic legal theories but also as a bridge between Sharia business law and modern practices, offering insights that are both applicable and reflective.
