PUBLICATION ETHICS

Az-zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam is a peer-reviewed journal. This journal follows guidelines from Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) facing all aspects of publication ethics and, in particular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher (Fakultas Syari’ah dan Hukum UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta). Az-zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam is dedicated to following best practices on ethical matters, errors and retractions. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. Any kind of unethical behavior is not acceptable, and the journals do not tolerate plagiarism in any form.
Az-zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam adapts COPE to meet high quality standard of ethics for publisher, editors, authors, and reviewers. As an essential issue, publication ethics needs to be explained clearly to improve the quality of the research worldwide. In this part, we explain the standard for editors, authors, and reviewers. Publisher don’t have right to interfere with the integrity of the contents and only support to publish in timely manner.
Publication Decisions
The editors of Az-zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making their decisions.
Plagiarism Screening
It is basically author’s duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academically malpractices. The submitted manuscript would be check for plagiarism using by :

Fair Play
An editor at any time evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editors and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in editors' own research without the express written consent of the author.
Author Ethics
Authors must adhere to the principles of integrity, originality, and scientific honesty in every manuscript submitted to Az-Zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam. The manuscript must be original, free from plagiarism, prepared with proper methodology, and must clearly disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources in the Author Ethics Statement. Each author bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the data and the integrity of the content of the manuscript.

Reviewer Ethics
Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the quality of publications in Az-Zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam. They are required to review manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and professionally, provide constructive feedback, and avoid conflicts of interest that could compromise their judgment. Reviewers are also expected to complete the review process within the assigned timeframe and report any indications of plagiarism or significant errors in the manuscript.
