The first step is to verify plagiarism against the offline database developed by the Faculty of Education and Teaching Science at State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The article is then cross-checked against as many online databases as possible.

Turnitin is used to assess the similarity index.

The allowable similarity threshold for articles is 15%.
