About the Journal

Kalijaga Journal of Communication (ISSN Online: 2685-1334 | ISSN Print: 2775-1414) is a peer-reviewed bi-annual journal that publishes research regarding Islamic communication contained in media, both mass media and digital media. Kalijaga Journal of Communication published and managed by Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta, Indonesia in cooperation with Asosiasi Program Studi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam (Askopis). The journal, which functions as a forum for Islamic communication studies in Indonesian and international media in a challenging local and global context, supports studies focusing on specific themes and studies across disciplines. Subjects include textual studies and fieldwork with a media development perspective.

Kalijaga Journal of Communication, published in June and December, and has been accredited by Sinta 4 based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 164/E/KPT/2021 which was applied since Vol. 1, No. 1 (2019) to Vol. 5, No. 2 (2023). This publication is available in two versions: print and electronic. The print version is sold for a price. For details on purchases and subscriptions, contact the editorial and distribution at Jl.
