Early Access
Early Access (also known as Online First, Articles in Press, or Ahead of Print) refers to scholarly articles that have been peer-reviewed, accepted, and published online before they are assigned to a specific issue of a journal. These articles are made publicly available to expedite the dissemination of research findings. The primary goal of Early Access publication is to accelerate the availability of new research to the academic community. This allows other researchers to read, cite, and build upon the findings without having to wait for the full issue to be compiled and released. The content is final and citable, usually with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
