Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

  • Make sure you have an OJS account. The registration guide can be downloaded by clicking the following link. Download
  • Articles written in Indonesian, English or Arabic with the field: study of the sciences of Hadith, including studies of Living Hadith.  
  • The article submitted is a new article and has never been published before.
  • The articles can be literature studies (theoretical research), and preferably papers from field research.
  • Articles may refer to journal references, prioritizing journals 10 years back.
  • The number of pages is 15-25, spaced one and a half (1.15), with the Book Antiqua font size 12 (or the equivalent number of words 5000).
  • The references should use reference management software to organize bodynotes and bibliographies, such as Zotero or Mendeley.
  • In writing the article, author is expected to pay attention to the Panduan Akreditasi Berkala Ilmiah, from Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia published by Direktorat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DP2M) http://simlitabmas.ristekdikti.go.id/unduh_berkas/Pedoman%20Akreditasi%20E-Journal%202014.pdf and also Permendiknas No. 17 Tahun 2010 concerning Prevention and Management of Plagiarism in Higher Education
  • The article was sent through the Online System Journal (OJS) Living Hadis Journal http://ejournal.uin-suka.ac.id/ushuluddin/Living accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity (non-plagiarism).
  • Each author is required to include a brief biodata and previous scientific works that have been published, the institution and its address, contact telephone number or author's email.
  • Authors must be able to guarantee the originality of article manuscripts, do not violate anti-plagiarism laws and do not violate copyrights. If there is a violation, the author is fully responsible for the action.
  • The article sent will go through a review process by a reviewer which is mediated by an editor according to his expertise. Authors must revise the article iafter get the review and recommendation from the reviewers or the editor.
  • Published articles will be notified through OJS. Articles that are not published will not be returned.
