Abstract

Tulisan ini hendak mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan Kyai dalam membentuk
etos kerja santri, meliputi strategi Kyai dalam membentuk etos kerja, dan peran Kyai
dalam mengkonstruksi etos kerja santri dengan mengambil setting kasus pada Badan
Usaha Milik Pesantren An-Nawawi Berjan Gebang Purworejo. Secara kualitatif
dalam kajian ini dijelaskan bahwa kepemimpinan Kyai dalam membentuk etos
kerja santri terlihat dalam berbagai peran Kyai, terutama sebagai pembimbing, motivator
dan uswatun hasanah yang diiplementasikan dalam fungsi-fungsi
kepemimpinannya. Sementara konstruksi etos kerja santri terbentuk dari nilai-nilai
Islam dan etika sosial yang ditransformasikan oleh Kyai.
