1. Integrity and Originality of Work
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under review in another journal.
Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own previously published work without proper citation), is strictly prohibited.
Authors are responsible for running plagiarism detection checks before submission.
2. Honesty in Data and Methods
Authors must present accurate and verifiable data and clearly describe the research methods to allow reproducibility.
Any form of data manipulation, fabrication, or falsification constitutes a serious ethical violation.
If significant errors are discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the editor and cooperate to issue a correction or retract the article.
3. Authorship
3.1. Criteria for Authorship
Each author must meet the following criteria:

Have made a significant contribution to the concept, design, data analysis, or interpretation of the research.

Have participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.

Have approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
3.2. Order of Authors
The order of authors must be agreed upon at the start of the research.
Any changes in the authorship order after submission require written consent from all authors.
3.3. Non-Author Contributors
If there are individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria, their contributions must be disclosed clearly in the Author Ethics Statement, not in the manuscript.
4. Citations and References
Authors must provide accurate and complete citations for all relevant sources.
References should follow the citation style adopted by Az-Zarqa’ Journal (Chicago 17th Style fullnote).
The use of AI tools or automated writing assistants must be transparently disclosed in the Author Ethics Statement.
5. Research Ethics
5.1. Ethical Approval
Research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must have approval from a recognized ethics committee, and the approval number must be provided in the Author Ethics Statement.
5.2. Compliance with Regulations
Authors must ensure that their research complies with all national and international laws and regulations applicable to their field.
6. Conflict of Interest (COI)
All potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, institutional, or personal, must be fully disclosed in the Author Ethics Statement.
Information regarding funding sources or external support that contributed to the research must also be explicitly stated in the statement.
7. Redundant or Multiple Submissions
Authors must not submit the same or substantially similar manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
Secondary publication (e.g., translations or extensions of prior work) is allowed only if:

Permission has been obtained from the editor of the original journal.

The original publication is clearly cited in the notes or references.
8. Peer Review Process
Authors must respond to reviewer comments professionally, in a timely manner, and with scientific justification.
Authors must not attempt to influence the review process unethically, such as by contacting reviewers directly.
9. Revisions and Corrections
If authors identify significant errors after publication, they must immediately notify the editor to:

Request a formal correction.

Retract the manuscript if the errors cannot be corrected.
10. Compliance with Journal Policies
Authors must comply with all policies of Az-Zarqa’ Journal, including formatting guidelines, the open-access license (CC BY-SA), and digital archiving policies.
11. Breach of Ethics
Violations of these guidelines may result in:

Rejection of the manuscript.

Retraction of a published article.

Reporting the issue to the authors’ institutions or relevant professional bodies.

Restrictions on future submissions.
12. Use of Technology and AI
Any use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) or automated tools in writing, editing, or data analysis must be fully disclosed in the Author Ethics Statement.
Authors remain fully responsible for the authenticity, accuracy, and integrity of the content generated with such assistance.
13. Author Ethics Statement
Before submission, each author must sign the Author Ethics Statement, which includes:

A declaration of originality and authorship.

Compliance with research and publication ethics.

Disclosure of any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and non-author contributors.

Agreement with the editorial process and the open-access publication license.
To ensure full compliance with the ethical standards of Az-Zarqa': Jurnal Hukum Bisnis Islam, authors are required to download, complete, and sign the official Author Ethics Statement. The signed document must be uploaded together with the manuscript during the submission process through the OJS system.
