Sunan Kalijaga International Journal on Islamic Educational Research (SKIJIER), ISSN Print 2580‑3204 and Online 2580‑3212, is a biannual, peer‑reviewed open‑access journal published by the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education at State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The journal provides a forum for the dissemination of original research, conceptual analyses, and empirical fieldwork in Islamic education, fostering the development of both theory and practice at national and international levels.

Published each May and November, SKIJIER welcomes submissions from scholars, researchers, educators, and professionals examining Islamic education from diverse perspectives, including curriculum development, educational philosophy, management and leadership, institutional history, Islamic theology, sociology, anthropology, political science, and other interdisciplinary approaches. All manuscripts must demonstrate methodological rigor, ethical compliance with international publication standards, and a clear contribution to advancing the field of Islamic education.
