Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam
Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam (JPAI) (The Journal of Islamic Education) is a periodical scientific journal published by Yogyakarta: Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Sunan kalijaga Yogyakarta (Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Sciences, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, Indonesia) in partnership with Perkumpulan Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam Indonesia. The journal specializes in the study of Islamic education science and research. The Journal kindly invites scientists , scholars , professionals , and researchers in the disciplines of Islamic education in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. The Journal is published twice a year in June and December.

Focus Al-Bidayah : jurnal pendidikan dasar Islam emphasizes the study of primary education and islamic primary education in islamic countries in general and specifically in Indonesia by emphasizing the theories of islamic primary education and its practices in the Islamic worlds that developed in attendance through publications of articles.
Scope the journal studies the theories and practices of primary education and islamic primary education in islamic country intends to express original research searches and current issues. Peer Reviewed Publication Ethics
The statements adapted from Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to cover codes of ethics for editor in chief, Deputy of editor-in-chief, editors, peer reviewers and authors . The research articles should respect principles of research ethics as described in Declaration of Helsinki and fulfill the principles of Good Clinical Pactice (GCP).
Editor-in-Chief
- Tasks: coordinate all journal activities, lead the publication, decide on articles to publis, decide on managing editor, perform final editing and pre-printing / online, perform quality assurance of processes, prints, and publications.
- Provide editorial board with work guidelines, required training, and prepare all members to get information on current policies and developments.
- Select members of the editorial board who are qualified and are able to actively contribute to the publication’s development and management.
- Evaluate the composition of the editorial board.
- Retract the publication ofan article that has unreliable information (e.g due to procedural error, miscalculation or misstatement of data), has been published elsewhere, contains plagiarism, or does not comply with the code of ethics.
- Should guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.
Managing Editor
- Tasks: assist editor-in-chief, monitor the editing process, monitor printing process/setting, prepare publication schedule.
- Provide editorial board with work guidelines, training required, and prepare all members to get information on current policies and developments.
- Provide inputs to the editorial board's performance.
- Retract the publication of an article that has unreliable information (e.g due to procedural error, miscalculation or misstatement of data), has been published elsewhere, contains plagiarism, or does not comply with the code of ethics.
- Should guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.
Editors
- Editors carry out tasks to assess the substance of the articles from research findings and literature studies, which include originality, the coherence of the discussion with raised issues, last updated theory/bibliography, the suitability of the research method, accuracy of facts, error counting and interpreting, decision-making: whether an article to be accepted, correction suggested or rejected.
- Should guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted manuscriptEnsure that all published papers have been reviewed by qualified peer reviewer.
- Prioritize the accuracy, completeness and clarity of research and development results including editing techniques and the use of appropriate guidelines.
- Publish guidelines for author and update it regularly.
- Retract the publication of an article that has unreliable information (e.g due to procedural error, miscalculation or misstatement of data), has been published elsewhere, contains plagiarism.
- Do the work in timely manner and should notify secretary if they can not complete the work.
Peer Reviewer
- Obtain the editor's task to review articles and submit the review to the editorfor eligibility checking.
- Review papers based on scientific principle (method of data collection, author legality, conclusions, etc.).
- Review the revised article according to the correction suggested.
- Maintain the privacy of authors by not distributing the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations.
- Ensure the principle of truth, novelty, and authenticity of the articles; prioritizes the benefits of writing for the development of science, technology, and innovation; as well as understand the influence of the article on science development.
- Do the work in timely manner and should notify secretary if they can not complete the work.
- Should not accept to review the manuscripts in which there is potential conflict of interest to the authors.
Authors
- Reporting Standars
- Submit original works only.
- The material of this article has never been published and author has never given copyright to the article to anyone.
- The material of the article submitted to the Al-Bidayah editor has complied with the applicable publishing policy.
- Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper.
- A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work.
- Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable.
- Originality and Plagiarism
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
- Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
An author should not, in general, publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Acknowledgement of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
- Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where others have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
- Disclosure and Confluct of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or another substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
- Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
